Mushroom Pasta

On Sunday nights in winter this recipe is easy to put together and is warming and tasty.I discovered it after searching the fridge for something tasty to eat. There were only a few mushrooms, bacon, spring onions and cream left!!


  • mushrooms sliced 2cups

  • 3-4 spring onions sliced

  • 2-3 rashes streaky bacon diced

  • 100 mls cream

  • worchestershire sauce 1tbspn

  • fresh ground black pepper

  • chopped parsley

  • lemon zest finely chopped

  • 1 teaspoon oliveoil

  • 40gms butter

  • 250gms pasta cooked- any shape- i like penne or linguine


  • 1.

    Heat olive oil and butter in fry pan add bacon cook until crispy. Add spring onions and fry nntil softened. Add Mushrooms and cook until sotened then add worchestershire sauce and cream heat through. Remove from heat and season with black pepper. Serve over pasta, sprinkle with parsley and lemon zest. Yum!


Grated Parmesen cheese can also be served with the pasta
