Eggless Biscuits

Old style biscuits



  • 1.

    Preheat oven to 180 degrees

  • 2.

    Heat milk and golden syrup, add soda stiring until dissolved (do not boil)

  • 3.

    Cream butter and sugar, add milk/golden syrup

  • 4.

    Sift in flour and mix together

  • 5.

    Drop small teaspoons of mixture on greaseproof paper lined oven trays (leaving plenty of room as biscuits spread)

  • 6.

    If desired, flatten biscuits with a few almond slivers

  • 7.

    Bake for approx 10-12 minutes

  • 8.

    Let cool on trays for a few minutes before removing to wire rack
