Spaghetti Meatballs

A Lagsane sauce recipe for Spaghetti meatballs...simple to make & more aroma than a normal spaghetti sauce

Ingredients

  • ingredients for meatballs:

  • minced beef - 500grs

  • bacon - 2 slices

  • fresh parsley - 1 tablespoons

  • salt

  • pepper

  • brown onions - 1/2

  • bread crumbs

  • egg - 1

  • ingredients for spaghetti sauce:

  • tomato puree - 1 can

  • tomato paste - 3 tablespoons

  • bay leaves - 2

  • oregano - 1/4 teaspoon

  • brown onions - 1/2

  • sugar - 2 teaspoons at min (subject to taste preference)

  • salt - 1 teaspoon

  • garlic - 1 clove

  • olive oil - 1 tablespoon

  • any pasta of your choice but thick spaghetti preferred

Method

  • 1.

    Meatballs:

  • 2.

    Dice the brown onions & bacon

  • 3.

    Mix it with the minced beef, parsley

  • 4.

    Add a pinch of salt & pepper

  • 5.

    Add 1 egg

  • 6.

    Add 3-4 tablespoons of bread crumbs

  • 7.

    Make at least 20 meatballs & deep fry for 5 mins or until crispy brown on the outside

  • 8.

    Spaghetti sauce:

  • 9.

    Heat the pan with olive oil

  • 10.

    Add & fry the garlic & onion until slightly brown

  • 11.

    Add tomato puree & tomato paste

  • 12.

    Add oregano, sugar, salt & bay leaves

  • 13.

    Boil the pasta with a pinch of salt.

  • 14.

    Final showdown:

  • 15.

    Add the meatballs to the sauce

  • 16.

    Add the pasta

  • 17.

    Mix well & plate it up for serving

Notes

Always mix the pasta in the sauce before serving. It tastes better vs. serving sauce on top of cooked pasta.
