BBQ pork spare ribs


juicy pork spare ribs marinated and BBQed.

Serves 3

Ingredients

  • 6 pork spare ribs (pork rashers)
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon keen's mustard
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Clove garlic, crushed
  • Bought bbq sauce

Method

  1. combine ingredients 2 -4 in a bowl. Add enough BBQ sauce to make the marinade runny but not too runny. Pour over pork spare ribs and leave to marinate for half an hour.
  2. Remove spare ribs from marinade. Place onto hot BBQ and cook using the indirect method, turning every ten minutes and basting with any remaining marinade. Cook for about 30-45 minutes, until meat is cooked and marinade has caramelised

can also be cooked in the oven - takes about 45 mins can use American spareribs, but need to adjust cooking times
