Easy to prepare crunchy Apple Pie laced with Calvados and served with Cream and Ice Cream
Combine butter, flour, sugar and egg. Press 2/3 of mixture into a
24 cm springform tin, spread apples, sprinkle remaining mixture over the
top and sprinkle with flaked almonds. Bake in a moderate oven for 45
minutes. Dust with icing sugar. Heat Calvados in a saucepan, and
pour over applie pie.
Serve with Thick Whipped Cream and Vanilla Ice Cream whilst warm
Just enjoy the flavour and the "hit" of calvados that you get in that first mouthfull!
