Quick Tuna Pasta


This is a great quick meal after a busy day at work and the kids love it.

Serves 2 to 4

Ingredients

Method

  1. Finely chop half an onion and 1 large clove of garlic, brown in a saucepan with a little bit of olive oil until the onion is cooked (clear in colour).
  2. Open a tin of peeled tomatos remove 4-5 tomatos only (not the juice) and add into the saucepan with the onion and garlic, break up the tomatos roughly in the saucepan with a wooden spoon.
  3. Add a little salt and peper, simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Add to the sauce a large tin of tuna in olive oil (including the oil in the tin). Stir tuna into the sauce. Simmer for another few minutes.
  5. Boil the pasta cook according to the packets instructions, drain lightly and add the tomato/tuna sauce mix well with a wooden spoon and serve.

Notes & Tips

Remember not to add the juice in the tin of tomatos this will take too long to simmer down and it wont be quick tuna pasta
