Chick Pea Stew

A quick easy to prepare stew can be eaten hot or cold.

Ingredients

  • 1 can chick peas - 310G

  • 1 onion

  • 1 can diced tomatoes - 400g

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1/2 tsp tumeric

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander

  • 1/s tsp ground cumin

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 can water

Method

  • 1.

    Oil in pot first, then add garlic and spices,

  • 2.

    Then add onion and stir until all mixed,

  • 3.

    Add drained chick peas then tomatoes and 1 can of water.

  • 4.

    Cook for 30 minutes.

  • 5.

    Eat hot or cold.

  • 6.

    Eat hot or cold in a bowl with crusty bread.

Notes

You can add extra vegetables if required.
Can also be served with rice.
