Currant loaf


A moist, easy to make recipe for time conscious cooks. serve sliced, thinly spread with butter

Serves 8

Ingredients

  • 1 cup currants ( or sultanas)
  • 1 cup cold strained tea
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 2 cups self raising flour

Method

  1. Combine tea, currants and sugar. stand for 1 hour.
  2. Add sifted flour, mix well.
  3. Pour into a greased loaf tin.
  4. Bake 190c 1 hour
