Speedy Fruit Flan

Cake base with custard, cream and fruit


  • 1 pkt golden buttercake mix

  • 1 cup good quality vanilla custard

  • 3/4 cup cream, whipped with 1 tblspn icing sugar and 1 tspn vanilla essence

  • 425g tin fruit of choice (or fresh)


  • 1.

    Make Buttercake following packet instructions

  • 2.

    Pour into greased indented 30cm flan tin

  • 3.

    Cook in 160 degree (fan forced) oven for approximately 20 minutes

  • 4.

    Once cake has had time to cool fill with custard, then whipped cream and finally top with desired fruit
