Basic Glutinous Rice

Makes about 600g/1lb 5oz

Ingredients

  • 300g/11oz washed glutinous rice

  • 500ml/18fl oz water

Method

  • 1.

    Heat a pan, add the rice and water, cover and cook on high heat for 15 minutes. 2 Turn the heat to very low and cook for a further 3 minutes, making sure all the water has evaporated. Take off the heat and, using a spatula, fluff the rice and it is now ready to serve or use.
