Simple Boiled Chocolate Cake

simple to make and moist. Basic ingredients that are boiled together to provide a moist rich flavour that gets better each day. Old fashioned recipe shared from friend to friend.

Serves 8

Ingredients

  • 1½ cup of castor sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • ½ tsp of bi-carb soda
  • 2 tablespoon of cocoa
  • 125g of butter
  • 1½ cups of self raising flour

Method

  1. Grease small round tin, preheat oven to 180°c oven
  2. Boil all ingredients for 3 minutes then allow to cool.
  3. Add 2 well beaten eggs
  4. Mix in 1 ½ cups of Self Raising Flour (sifted)

cooking time depends on your oven so, cook until cake bounces back when touched or skewer comes out clean
