Corn Bread

This is a traditional American Southern recipe from my Grandmother
We eat it as a side with any meal or with Chilli Con Carne
or with Ham Hocks and beans



  • 1.

    Sift dry ingredients together

  • 2.

    Mix in vegetable oil until mixture is coarse like meal

  • 3.

    Combine eggs and milk

  • 4.

    Stir in flour and cornmeal mixture

  • 5.

    Bake in greased muffin pans or square cake tin at 200C for 25 to 30 minutes

  • 6.

    Makes about 1.5 dozen muffins
