Corn Bread


This is a traditional American Southern recipe from my Grandmother We eat it as a side with any meal or with Chilli Con Carne or with Ham Hocks and beans

Serves 6 to 8

Ingredients

Method

  1. Sift dry ingredients together
  2. mix in vegetable oil until mixture is coarse like meal
  3. Combine eggs and milk
  4. stir in flour and cornmeal mixture
  5. Bake in greased muffin pans or square cake tin at 200C for 25 to 30 minutes
  6. Makes about 1.5 dozen muffins
