Homestyle Spaghetti

This is something I regularly make for the family...hearty and delicious.



  • 1.

    Heat a pan with olive oil

  • 2.

    Dice onion and bacon

  • 3.

    Add onion and bacon to pan

  • 4.

    Cook until soft/golden

  • 5.

    Add garlic, cook out

  • 6.

    Add mince and cook until all meat is browned and water content is cooked off

  • 7.

    Add tomato paste and cook out

  • 8.

    Add spaghetti sauce (used to add flavour and save time)

  • 9.

    Add crushed tomatoes

  • 10.

    Add carrot & mushrooms

  • 11.

    Add beef stock and slat & pepper to taste

  • 12.

    Simmer gently for 45mins-1 hour

  • 13.

    Cook spaghetti

  • 14.



Whilst not a 'chef' meal it is THE best tasting spag bol ever. Sometimes I add chilli paste with the onions, depends if I want to argue with the the kids or not!
