Lemonade Scones


These scones are so easy and yummy and I’ve never had them fail!

So light and fluffy.

Ingredients

  • 1 x 300 ml carton of cream
  • 5 cups self-raising flour
  • 375 ml can of lemonade (must be a can!)
  • Optional: 2 tbsp sugar (sweeter version) or 1 tbsp honey.

Method

  1. Pre heat oven to 200°c
  2. Put flour in a bowl, add cream and can of lemonade.
  3. Mix well. (make sure it is the same as *normal* scone consistency, add a little more flour or some milk if needed).
  4. Turn out onto floured board.
  5. Flatten out with fingers (no need to roll) to about 1½ cm high.
  6. Cut to desired size and bake.
  7. Bake for 20 mins or until golden brown.

Notes & Tips

This recipe does make quite a few, depending of course how big you cut them!Serve with jam and cream.
