Mamas Bacon And Tomato Casserole

Layer a greased casserole dish first with a layer of good steak(rump or sirloin)then a layer of bacon, sliced tomatoes, a layer of onion and salt and pepper and then pour tomatoe sauce over that layer, repeat layers with last cover of tomatoe sauce, cover with water and mix in teaspoon gravox powder.
Layer over the top with potatoes cut in halves.Sprinkle with salt. Bake in oven very slowly, 180 degrees for about one and a half hours till very tender, if still too runny mix a little cornflour in water and mix through.If you don't have a lid for your casserole dish, cover with alfoil.
