Pork Mince Polpette

This recipe is a winner with my kids, it is relatively easy to make and tastes so delicious.


  • Ingredients

  • Serves 6

  • 1 Kilo of Pork Mince

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 Cup of Bread Crumbs

  • 1 Chopped Onion

  • 3 Finely Chopped Garlic Cloves

  • A bit of water

  • 1 Teaspoon of Paprika Powder

  • 1 Tablespoon of Mixed Spices

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Optional - Cheese Cubes


  • 1.

    To a bowl add 1 kilo of thawed pork mince.

  • 2.

    Finely chop an onion and add to the mince.

  • 3.

    Finely chop 3 garlic cloves and add to the mince.

  • 4.

    Add one cup of bread crumbs to the mince.

  • 5.

    Break an egg and add to the mince.

  • 6.

    Add the spices to the mince.

  • 7.

    Gently mix the mince with all the ingredients and add water as required.

  • 8.

    Take a small handful of the mixture and shape them into polpette's, you may add a cube of cheese to each polpette and shape it.

  • 9.

    To a pan add extra virgin olive oil, once the pan is hot place the polpette's into it.

  • 10.

    Lightly fry the polpette on each side.

  • 11.

    This is a delicious dish that may be served with mashed potato or rice.
