Japanese Noodles with Chicken and Teriyaki Glaze


A fantastic fuss-free noodle dish that's ideal for midweek. You only need a handful of ingredients too.

Serves 2

Ingredients

Teriyaki glaze

  • 3 tablespoons soya sauce
  • 6 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons of water

Method

  1. Start by making the Teriyaki glaze by taking all in ingredients in a pan and reducing until a thick sauce then place in a bowl.
  2. Take a wok and a frying pan and in the wok heat the sesame oil and add the noodles. Fry for just a couple of minutes then adding the spring onions and the soya sauce and remove from the heat.
  3. Now heat your frying pan with a little oil. Fry chicken breasts with skin on , brown chicken, put in oven to cook for 20mins at 180c. On your serving plate place a small pile of noodles then cut your chicken and place 3-4 slices on top of the noodles.
  4. Then take the teriyaki glaze and drizzle around the plate and serve.
