Quickie mince pies

You might think life is too short to make your own mince pies but you're wrong! These are really quick alternative mince pies.


  • 2 sheets puff pastry, rolled

  • 1 jar mincemeat

  • 1 apple, grated

  • melted butter

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

  • caster sugar


  • 1.

    Preheat the oven to 180C

  • 2.

    Brush one piece of the pastry with the melted butter and place on a baking sheet.

  • 3.

    In a bowl mix together the grated apple and jar of mincemeat.

  • 4.

    Using a teaspoon place small dots of the mixture on the pastry spaced about 1 inch apart.

  • 5.

    Brush the pastry with water then lay the other piece of pastry on top and press down and crimp.

  • 6.

    Brush with the egg wash and sprinkle with caster sugar.

  • 7.

    Cut into ravioli shapes then place in the oven and cook for 10-15 minutes.
