Seared tuna with wasabi and soy sauce


  • Small fillet of tuna (600g)

  • 4 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 tablespoons freshly cracked black pepper

  • half teaspoon salt

  • 2 teaspoons paprika

  • Pickled ginger

  • Sake

  • White radish

  • Soy sauce

  • Coriander

  • Wasabi powder


  • 1.

    Marinade tuna in the sake for a couple of minutes.

  • 2.

    Then coat the tuna steak with the wasabi powder and the paprika.

  • 3.

    Heat a frying pan and add the oil, season the tuna fillet with the salt, pepper and paprika, and place in the pan, sear for 1 minute each side, and leave on the side to rest for five minutes.

  • 4.

    To make the salad slice the white radish into ribbons, add the pickled ginger, the coriander and dress with soy sauce.

  • 5.

    Slice the tuna very thinly and put on the plate along with the salad.
