Antony's caramelised nuts are a sure-fire way to dress up your shop-bought pud.
100g soft brown sugar
2 tbsp golden syrup
Large handful of mixed nuts (brazils, pecans, hazelnuts, almonds)
Melt the butter, syrup and sugar in a pan.
Add the nuts.
While warm, pour over the pudding.
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Dessert Wines are the best wines to pair with Christmas pudding topping.
