Chocolate Peppermint Snap


These are fun and easy to make. Cut into chunks and serve with after-dinner coffee, or snap into shards and use to decorate cakes, ice-cream sundaes.

Serves 5 to 6

Ingredients

  • 350g dark chocolate
  • 2 tbsp demerara sugar
  • 4 drops peppermint essence

Method

  1. Melt the chocolate in a bowl and in another bowl combine the sugar with the peppermint and mix.  Add the chocolate and then spread the mixture on a tray lined with cling film and place in the freezer until set.
  2. Remove the chocolate from the freezer and break into pieces. Eat as they are or serve with coffee or mugs of hot chocolate.
