Parma Wrapped Camembert


This has a classic European feel, thanks to the Camembert, Parma ham and sweet pear. Serve with a simple rocket salad for a super-chic starter.

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 200g camembert
  • Slice of sweet pear
  • 2 to 3 slices of parma ham
  • 25g plain flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 50g breadcrumbs

Method

  1. Take a slice of camembert cheese, about the length of your index finger.
  2. Lay a slice of pear on top, then wrap both in the Parma ham.
  3. Dust with flour, dip in the egg then the breadcrumbs and shallow fry until crispy.
  4. Serve immediately.
