Traditional Neapolitan Pizza Topping


Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 1 ready made pizza base
  • 300g/10½oz italian chopped tomato
  • 3 tbsp italian extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 pinches of oregano
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 5-6 basil leaves
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Place the chopped tomatoes and oregano on top of the pizza. You can use a ready made pizza base or make your own.
  2. Place the garlic, basil and salt and freshly ground black pepper on top.
  3. Cook the pizza in the oven and before you serve drizzle with extra virgin olive oil (could also use chilli olive oil if you prefer a stronger taste).
