Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms


Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 4 large open field mushrooms
  • 4 teaspoons dry white wine
  • 100g / 3½ oz cream cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 4 pieces baking paper

Method

  1. Wipe the mushrooms with kitchen paper and remove the stalk.
  2. In a bowl stir together the garlic, white wine and cream cheese and spread evenly over the cap of the mushrooms.
  3. Season with black pepper
  4. Wrap each mushroom in a sheet of baking paper, folding the paper over at the edges to form a seal, place onto a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven 200oC / Gas Mark 6 for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Remove the paper and serve immediately.
