Baked Camembert with Thyme and Garlic croutons

  • 1.

Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.

  • 2.

Use a medium round cutter to cut a round of camembert. Place the camembert in a baking dish of the same size, so the camembert fits snugly.

  • 3.

Make several incisions in the top of the camembert and insert the thyme and slices of garlic into the incisions.

  • 4.

Bake the camembert in the oven for 10 minutes.

  • 5.

Meanwhile, for the croutons, rub the garlic clove over the toast and cut the toast into large chunks.

  • 6.

Serve the baked camembert with the garlic toast.

This makes a fabulous dip when you are entertaining. Also works well with double or triple brie.
