Torta Di Mele e Mandorle



  • 1.

    Preheat the oven to 160C/320F/Gas 2.

  • 2.

    Put the apples and brown sugar in a large pan and cook over a low heat until soft.

  • 3.

    In a large bowl beat the eggs with the caster sugar then mix in the butter and ground almonds to create a smooth paste.

  • 4.

    Divide the cooked apples between six ramekins and spread the almond mixture on top.

  • 5.

    Sprinkle some sliced almonds on top of each and and cook for about 50 minutes until golden brown.

  • 6.

    Serve hot with cream or ice cream.
