There's nothing like a good old crumble for dessert!
Peel and slice the apples.
Place into a sauce pan with a splash of water.
Add a few cloves and the brown sugar and cook on the stove in a saucepan with the lid on for approx. 20 minutes or until the water has absorbed and the fruit is soft.
Place the butter, flour and almond meal in a bowl and combined with fingertips until it forms a rough sand like texture.
Add the almond flakes, castor sugar and enough cinnamon to taste into the bowl.
Place the apple into an oven dish and sprinkle the crumble mixture on top.
Place in an oven heated to 200 temperature for 30 - 40 minutes or until browned and crumbly.
Serve hot with a dollop of cream or icecream.
