Beer Battered Chicken and Crispy Salad

Bored of your usual chicken recipes? Try this crispy-coated chicken. It's still fast food but it's a million times better than anything you pick up from a takeaway.



  • 1.

    Sieve the flour, salt and cayenne pepper into a bowl. Add the oil and beer and whisk thoroughly. Fold in the egg white.

  • 2.

    Dip the chicken strips in the flour, and in to the batter. Deep fry in the oil for approximately 1 minute, until crispy. Remove and season.

  • 3.

    Shred the gem lettuce and slice the onion. Place on a plate, add the chicken and serve with sweet chilli sauce.
