Beer Battered Chicken and Crispy Salad


Bored of your usual chicken recipes? Try this crispy-coated chicken. It's still fast food but it's a million times better than anything you pick up from a takeaway.

Method

  1. Sieve the flour, salt and cayenne pepper into a bowl. Add the oil and beer and whisk thoroughly. Fold in the egg white.
  2. Dip the chicken strips in the flour, and in to the batter. Deep fry in the oil for approximately 1 minute, until crispy. Remove and season.
  3. Shred the gem lettuce and slice the onion. Place on a plate, add the chicken and serve with sweet chilli sauce.
