BBQ Hiramasa Kingfish


BBQ Hiramasa Kingfish with chilli and herb marinade.

Ingredients

  • 1 Whole Hiramasa Kingfish skinned and filleted
  • 4 Cloves Garlic
  • 3 long fresh Red chilli's
  • 1 Lemon Zest
  • 1 cup continental parsley
  • ½ cup oregano leaves
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • sea salt
  • freshly ground white pepper to taste

Method

  1. To make the marinade, simply blend all ingredients together until smooth.
  2. Marinate the fillets liberally for an hour.
  3. Heat the BBQ to medium and grill the fish till medium rare.
  4. Serve straight away with lemon wedges.

Allow about 150g of fish per person.

    did a similar thing with kingfish cutlets last night - following the recipie as best i could with what was in the fridge/cupboard - was a huge success - thanks

    This is a delicious recipe that compliments the fish, but does not overpower it. We have also used it with frshly -caught Bonito.

    'Hiramasa' sounded very Japanese, but the actual recipe is fairly run of the mill. BBQ kingfish with lemon garlic and herbs and a touch of chilli
