Serrano Ham and Melon Plate


Ingredients

  • 12 slices serrano ham
  • ¼ fresh ripe rockmelon
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Trim the ends of the rock melon, peel it and slice it into 1cm thick slices.
  2. Simply arrange the sliced ham on a large platter and pile the melon pieces into the middle.
  3. Add a splash of olive oil and a grind of pepper.
  4. This dish also works beautifully with figs.

    Boiling hot day!! this was so easy to make and nice and cool to eat...perfect and tasted fantastic. Friends had commented on how good it was and have done the same dish but they never added the pepper and the oil which they both thought brought out the flavours much more.
