Celery Root Mashed Potatoes


  • 2 Celery Roots peeled and cut into large chunks

  • 2 Yukon Gold Potatoes peeled and cut into large chunks

  • 1 cup Milk

  • 0.5 cup Butter

  • Salt & Pepper


  • 1.

    Steam the celery root and potatoes in a stovetop steamer until tender and easily pierced with a knife. Meanwhile gently heat the milk and butter together in a small pot, until the butter has melted.

  • 2.

    Put potatoes and celery root through a food mill, or, alternately, mash with a potato masher. Stir in the milk and butter and season with salt and pepper.
