Black Fig, Buffalo Mozzarella & Rocket Salad

This simple, slightly sweet salad is perfect to serve alongside of spicier dishes.


  • 3 black figs, trimmed and quartered

  • 1 buffalo mozzarella ball, torn into pieces (or 4 Bocconcini balls)

  • 2 handfuls of rocket leaves

  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 2 tsp balsamic vinegar


  • 1.

    Combine figs, mozzarella and rocket in a serving bowl.

  • 2.

    Season with sea salt flakes and freshly ground black pepper.

  • 3.

    Combine olive oil and balsamic vinegar and drizzle dressing over salad and serve immediately.


The sweetness of the fresh figs with the early mozzarella and rocket combine to cut through the heat of Dr. Oetker Ristorante’s Pizza Pepperoni-Salame. Best served with a chilled glass of Rosé.
