Grilled Haloumi with Port Currants

Try this amazing haloumi recipe!


  • 250 gms haloumi, 2cm slices

  • ¼ cup port

  • 3 tbsp. currants

  • mint for garnish

  • olive oil


  • 1.

    Add currants and port to a small pot over a medium heat. Simmer for 5 - 8 minutes.

  • 2.

    Heat oil in frying pan over a medium flame. Fry haloumi for 1 minute each side or until golden brown on

  • 3.

    Both sides.

  • 4.

    Transfer haloumi to a serving dish, drizzle with port and currant sauce. Garnish with mint sprigs.

  • 5.

    Serve immediately.
