Slow Cooked Turkey Legs

Try this beautiful Turkish recipe this Christmas!


  • 2 turkey legs

  • 200g duck  fat(enough to cover legs)

  • water to cover legs

  • For cooking legs

  • 80ml soy

  • 50m honey

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • 1 stick cinnamon

  • 2 cloves

  • 1 piece of orange peel

  • 1 star anise

  • 50ml honey

  • 20ml soy


  • 1.

    Place the legs in a pot, cover with fat and all for leg cooking ingredients. 

  • 2.

    Slowly cook for 2 hours on a gentle heat, then leave to cool.

  • 3.

    Take 100ml of cooking juices and reduce with honey and soy to form a syrup. 

  • 4.

    Remove the legs before serving and char the on the BBQ and glaze with syrup, and that’s it
