Mont d'Or Melt


Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 1 Mont d'Or cheese
  • 1 cup your favourite white wine
  • 1 finely sliced Garlic Clove
  • 5 medium Potatoes
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Your favourite sliced Meats / Pickles / Sausage

Method

  1. Remove the lid of the wooden Mont d'Or box and wrap tinfoil around the outside of the remainder of the cheese box.
  2. Using a desert spoon make a well in the centre of the cheese and add the garlic and white wine.
  3. Wash the unpeeled potatoes, and boil till cooked through.
  4. Cook the cheese at 180º C for 25 minutes or until a golden crust has formed.
  5. Serve with potato’s meats and pickles.
