Fig, Basil, Buffalo Mozzarella Salad

This salad is a simple and spectacular taste sensation.


  • 8 figs

  • 2 medium italian buffalo mozzarella (blue cheese or bocconcini can be substituted)

  • 16 basil leaves

  • lemon infused extra virgin olive oil

  • apple balsamic vinegar or aged balsamic is fine

  • sea salt

  • pepper


  • 1.

    Slice figs & mozzarella and lay on a platter overlapping with basil leaves dressed in the lemon infused olive oil.

  • 2.

    Drizzle the apple balsamic over the salad and season with salt & pepper. (Note: Apple balsamic is available from the Essential Ingredient and is a wonderful new product that is fantastic with roast pork).

Hi Charlie, sorry about that ... they are two different cheeses. The recipe has been corrected above. If you haven't tried buffalo mozzarella, try and get your hands on some ... it is divine!! - hg
