Original Bruschetta

My home made bruschetta is a warm starter meal that goes with anything between soup and fish dishes.

Ingredients

  • 500g of diced tomato(pre cut or you can do it) preferably large.

  • 2 packs of 250g smoked salmon {optional!}

  • 1 bottle of 110g sandhurst baby capers.

  • 1 loaf of ciabatta or turkish bread.

  • mixture of herbs and spices.

  • 1 red onion

Method

  • 1.

    Preparing:

    Firstly take the bread and slice it down the middle then slice it twice on the sides.

  • 3.

    Place then in the grill till golden brown or in the toaster till golden brown.

  • 4.

    Take the tomatos and dice all into four quarters. Place in a bowl.

  • 5.

    Take the onion and finely slice it. Add to bowl.

  • 6.

    Give 5 good shakes of the herbs and spices in the bowl and thoroughly mix every thing to- gether.

  • 7.

    Drain the capers but keep moist.

  • 8.

    Open salmon packetsand place on table.

  • 9.

    Cooking:

    Take the bowl with the ingredients in it and place in a heated pan and heat through till all the juices come out.

  • 11.

    Place the capers on the bread then cover them with the salmon and add a sufficient amount of Tomato and other on top...

  • 12.

    Enjoy!!!!!

Notes

To give it more flavour crush a garlic or add some chives on top!!
