Classic lassi

The blend of yogurt, ginger and lemon juice is considered a nice thirst quencher and soothes the spicy food burn.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon lite yogurt
  • Crushed ginger, to taste (optional)
  • lemon or lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh coriander leaf, chopped
  • Water

Method

  1. Into a blender, place yoghurt and a pinch of crushed ginger (optional), coriander, few drops of lemon or lime juice and generous water. Cover with lid and blend well.
  2. Add more water to desired consistency. Pour into clean and empty juice/soft drink bottles. Refrigerate and serve as cool drink with meals or on its own.
