A myth attached to the Zabaglione/Zabaione is that mothers made this for their son on his wedding night to ensure he could perform his marital duties!
Traditionally a Sicilian/Italian breakfast for children and adults. If made for children, some parents don’t add the espresso coffee.
Also very well known as a dessert that is commonly served in restaurants (and the recipe varies).
Add the egg yolks to a large cup.
Add and mix in the sugar.
Make sure you stir the sugar well (into the egg yolks) with a spoon.
Then add a little splash of Marsala and a little splash of Espresso Coffee and stir well.
Eat (or drink) immediately.
