Ginger Bain

Microwave Tablet


Sweet beautifully smooth, melt in the mouth tablet! Best I've ever tasted!

Ingredients

  • 1 small tin evaporated carnation milk
  • 1 lb castor sugar
  • 2 oz margarine

Method

  1. Put all ingrediants into a large microwavable bowl and mix together.
  2. Put bowl in mocrowave on high for 4 mins (watching at all times for boiling out over the bowl!!)
  3. Stir, put in again for a further 4 mins.
  4. Stir, put in again for a further 4 mins.
  5. Whisk for 2 mins, then pour into a square tin and leave to set.
  6. Once set cut into bite size squares.

Notes & Tips

My microwave is 900 Watts, Category E, a few of my friends have tried this recipe but it hasn't worked, maybe this is because of the type of microwave?? not sure! For the very sweet toothed!

    i am sorry but you never use marg or evapoated milk for real scottish tablet, i hate to think of the taste even if you could get it to set
