Lemon Thyme Sirloin Steak

Fragrant Steak dish


  • 2xsirloin steaks

  • marinade:

  • 2xtblspn good quality olive oil

  • 2xcloves of garlic,finely chopped

  • freshly ground black pepper

  • handfull of lemon thyme

  • to serve:

  • chips

  • watercress,tomatoe and red onion salad with balsamic and olive oil dressing


  • 1.

    Blend together the ingredients for the Marinade and place in a non-metallic bowl with the steak and leave for around 30 mins.

  • 2.

    Heat a Griddle pan till it's smoking and add your steaks, cooking for around 2 mins each side, depending on how thick the cut is.

  • 3.

    Once cooked, allow your steaks to rest for a few mins,then serve with the watercress salad.

  • 4.

    You can de-glaze the pan with a good splash of water and some Peppercorns for a rich gravy too.
