Golden flapjacks with mango, sour cherries and coconut


  • 85g golden syrup

  • 85g runny honey

  • 150g salted butter

  • 150g porridge oats

  • 100g desiccated coconut

  • 75g sour cherries

  • 75g dried mango chopped into small pieces


  • 1.

    Heat the oven to 180C. Grease a medium sized deep baking tray – size depending on how thick you like your flapjacks

  • 2.

    Melt the golden syrup, honey and butter together

  • 3.

    When they are melted remove the pan from the heat and add the porridge oats, coconut, cherries and mango – stir in well

  • 4.

    Pour the flapjack mixture into the tray and push it down slightly then bake in the oven for about 25 – 30 minutes until they have turned a deep golden brown.
