Ingredients

  • Serves 4
  • Prep time 5 minutes
  • Standing time 1 hour
  • Cooking time 1 minute
  • 2 punnets straw berries, halved and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 4 thick slices wholegrain or turkish bread, toasted
  • 2 teaspoons caster sugar

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine strawberries with balsamic vinegar. Cover with cling film and macerate for 1 hour.
  2. Top toast with strawberries and sprinkle with sugar. Grill for 1 minute, until glazed.

Tips:

Wash and dry strawberries before hulling.
