Szechuan beef skewers

Ingredients

  • 600g rump steak, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons szechuan seasoning mix
  • 1 bunch choy sum, trimmed, washed, cut into 7cm lengths
  • ¼ cup (60ml) oyster sauce
  • Steamed rice, to serve
  • Kj 965, fat 7g, sat fat 3g.

Method

  1. Thread beef strips onto bamboo skewers. Roll beef skewers in Szechuan seasoning to coat all over.
  2. Grease a large frying pan and heat on medium. Cook skewers for 2 minutes, turning, until cooked. Remove from pan. Cook choy sum in same pan on high heat for 2-3 minutes, until just wilted. Add oyster sauce and 2 tablespoons water and cook for another minute.
  3. Place beef skewers on a bed of choy sum drizzled with sauce, and serve with rice.
