Italian-style tuna with peas

Get an Omega-3 boost with this easy fish dish, perfect for a healthy mid-week dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 4 small (about 700g) tuna steaks
  • ¼ cup (60ml) dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1½ cups (180g) frozen peas

Method

  1. Heat oil in a large frying pan on medium. Cook garlic and onion for 5 minutes, until softened. Remove and set aside. Add tuna steaks to same pan and brown for 1 minute on each side. Return onion and garlic to pan with wine and tomato paste. Stir and season to taste.
  2. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer gently for 3 minutes. Stir through peas, until heated through. Serve immediately.
