Honey cake


Ingredients

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Mix eggs, sugar and honey together. Then place in the flour and baking soda.
  3. Mix well. Place the mixture evenly into three separate 30cm X 24cm baking trays.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden.
  5. To make the filling, mix the continental flour and vanillin sugar with 1 cup of milk. Boil the remaining milk and place the flour mixture to cook with the milk. Place aside, allow to cool down. In a separate saucepan melt the butter with the sugar. When the filling has cooled, mix in the butter mixture.
  6. Place the filling in between the three layers, the using the remainder filling on top of the cake. Sprinkle walnuts to decorate.
  7. Place cake into the refrigerator for at least 3 hours before serving.
