Anzac Cookies

If you want a sweet treat, this is the recipe for you!

Ingredients

  • 125g butter
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 1 tablespoon bi-carb soda
  • 2 tablespoons boiling water
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 1 cup desicated coconut
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup milk

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200 fan forced.
  2. Melt butter and golden syrup together in a saucepan.
  3. Stir the bi-carb soda with the boiling water.
  4. Combine all dry ingredients (flour, sugar, rolled oats and decicated coconut) in a large mixing bowl.
  5. Add the melted butter and golden syrup, bi-carb soda mix, milk and stir.
  6. Spoon teaspoonfuls of anzac cookie mixture onto baking paper, making sure they are seperated.
  7. Place anzac biscuits into oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Once taken out of oven, place on a wire rack to cool.
  9. Enjoy :)

Notes & Tips

If you prefer crisp, thinner biscuits, add an extra teaspoonful of boiling water.
