This is an Asian type of Meat Jerky. It is a must during the Lunar New Year in Singapore. This is everyone's favourite snack.
Mix the above ingredients and marinade overnight.
Crush foil, straighten foil out and line baking pan.
Spread marinated meat evenly on foil
Flatten meat with an oiled empty small sauce bottle (this will act as a rolling pin) Roll out till very thin and even.
Dry flattened meat in a preheated 100 C oven for about 4-5 minutes
Please do not cook meat.
Cool meat on a wire rack.
Cut dried meat into squares
Grill meat under a very hot grill for about 2-3 mins .
Enjoy Bak Kwa with a glass of beer
The drying process is very important. If you grill the meat without the drying process it will turn out to be dry, hard and burnt.
