Very easy to make and the flavours were tasty. I liked the fennel in the dish so will add 2 bulbs next time I make this dish. I generally enjoy many types of casseroles but loved that this was not your usual creamy or tomato based casserole.
saw it yesterday and have it in the pot ready for the oven - added a brused piece of lemon grass as I think that it may add a lovely lemony feel to the dish - and some pieces of zuchini as only had one small fennel bulb an like to bulk up the veggies
I saw this on the box last night and as I am a girl from Perth who loves Freo and now living on the Gold Coast, I tune in to get my little homesick Freo fix... I love Anna she is like sunshine and she prepares great food too! Those dimples are to die for...Australias answer to Nigella Lawson. Anyway I couldnt get fennel at this time of year on the Gold Coast so I substituted with Buk Choy and still added the fennel seeds. Sounds a bit weird but the variety I bought had a similar texture to fennel so I thought it might work. I have it bubbling on the stove now and it looks wonderful. Hope it tastes as good... Love ya work Anna, keep smiling that lovely smile... PS I just went and tasted. It is magnificent...sweet and very tasty ...
